Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Croveit collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
Your handle and content. The handle you choose and everything you post (predictions, reasoning, comments, votes) are public by design — that's the point of a public track record.
Optional email. If you add an email, we store it to send you "you called it" notifications and to help secure your handle. It's never shown publicly and never required. You can remove it any time from your page.
Cookies. We set a cookie for your handle and a secret ownership token so you stay signed in and no one else can claim your handle. These are essential to using the site.
Analytics. We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (via Vercel) to understand traffic. It does not use tracking cookies or build advertising profiles.
How we use it
To run the Service: display your calls and track record, score and resolve predictions, send notifications you've opted into, secure handles, and improve the product.
How we share it
We don't sell your data. Public content is, by nature, visible to everyone. We use a small number of service providers to operate the site — hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), and email delivery (Resend) — who process data only to provide those services.
Your choices
You can remove your email at any time, stop using the Service, or contact us to request deletion of your account data. Because your track record is public, removing it may also remove your calls and scores.
Data retention
We keep account and content data while your account is active and as needed to operate the Service or comply with the law.
Children
Croveit isn't intended for anyone under 16. Please don't use it if you're under that age.
